Swimming Lessons

Swimmin' the Blues was started in the summer of 2017 by two competitive swimmers, Megan Bodily and Savannah Blood. An experienced swimming lessons teacher, Kimi Scheffer, trained them to teach. This year, the teachers are Isabel and Benjamin Blood. You can read about them below. The pool we teach from is located at 3516 E Victory Rd, Meridian Idaho 83642.

Our Teachers

Savannah

Savannah joined a Meridian summer swim team when she was 5 years old, and has been swimming ever since. After 4 years of swimming with the Mountain View High School she considers herself a distance swimmer. Her favorite event is the 100 yard backstroke. Three summers ago she opened a swim school in her backyard pool. After training and teaching all summer she learned that teaching kids to swim is a lot of fun, and a great way to earn money for college! She has has been certified as a lifeguard through the Red Cross. Come take a class with her and learn to swim!

Calvin

Calvin is a high-achieving kid, both as a swimmer and as a student. He will turn 17 in July, and is finishing up his sophomore year this May. He has been swimming on the Meridian Killer Whales summer swim team since he was 5 years old, and he has loved it every year since. He has been on the Mountain View Swim Team for 3 years, and is amazing at the 500 freestyle, with a personal record of 5 minutes and 45 seconds. He is looking forward to teaching swimming lessons this summer!
