Swimmin' the Blues was started in the summer of 2017 by two competitive swimmers, Megan Bodily and Savannah Bagley (formerly Savannah Blood). An experienced swimming lessons teacher, Kimi Scheffer, trained them to teach. This year, the teachers are Benjamin and Matthew Blood and Savannah Bagley. You can read about them below. The pool we teach from is located at 3516 E Victory Rd, Meridian Idaho 83642.
Freshly graduated from high school, Benjamin is a highly skilled competitive swimmer. He has been swimming since he was 4 years old and has loved every minute. He started teaching for Swimmin' the Blues in 2024 and thoroughly enjoys helping kids grow their confidence in the pool and love the water as much as he does.

Matthew will be continuing at Meridian Technical Charter High School as a sophomore in the fall. He has been swimming since he was young as well. He started teaching at Swimmin' the Blues in 2024 and is learning all he can about helping kids feel safe and happy in the water!

Savannah joined a Meridian summer swim team when she was 5 years old, and has been swimming ever since. After 4 years of swimming with the Mountain View High School she considers herself a distance swimmer. Her favorite event is the 100 yard backstroke. In the summer of 2017 she opened a swim school in her backyard pool. After training and teaching all summer she learned that teaching kids to swim is a lot of fun, and a great way to earn money for college! She has been certified as a lifeguard through the Red Cross. Come take a class with her and learn to swim!
